The ble_app_uart or any example has nothing to do with NRFConnect. nRFConnect is the tool you use to make your PC works as a BLE device. When the ble_app_* make the nRF5 DK board works as stand alone BLE device, and they are not related. That's why you see a pop up telling "No connectivity firmware was detected"

nRFConnect needs the connectivity firmware to work , and it ask you to overwrite the firmware you have on the board with its connectivity firmware.

I flashed a normal example that is ble_app_uart app. I saw the transmitting logo (look like wifi logo) appear on the box on the left top corner. And I did Advertising Setup.

Note: When I flashed normal example, I saw a Confirm message which is "No connectivity firmware was detected. Do you want to update to version 1.1.0?" And then, I clicked OK.

I think you should verify that the board and the phone works properly first. If you flash a normal example such as the ble_app_uart app, do you see the board advertise as NordicUART (or similar) on the phone?

When you advertise with nRFConnect what do you do ? Do you see the transmitting logo (look like wifi logo) appear on the box on the left top corner ? Did you do any Advertising setup... ?

I have one board. All right. I started advertising on nRF Connect. And I'm using my phone to do scanning. But I can't see nRF Connect. How Can I see my board?

How many board do you have ? If you have only one board, and you use the board as the BLE hardware for the nRFConnect then it won't work as the ble_app_uart anymore. You need two boards to do what you plan, one board for scanning, and one board for advertising. You can use the phone to do scanning.

I programmed my board with ble_app_uart's pre-compiled hex file by using nRFgo. And I saw a confirm message: No connectivity firmware was detected. Do you want to update to version 1.1.0? When I clicked OK, Everything was the same. By the way, My PC's and My Phone's Bluetooths are open.

Do you have any other device advertising around ? You can test with any example in the SDK such as the ble_app_hrs, please try to test first with the pre-compiled hex file in "hex" folder. The file is included the softdevice, you don't need to flash the softdevice.
