Trying to update the broadcasting URL in my beacon using the nRF Connect Android app, but when I make the change and enter the password, the app disconnects from the beacon and "erases" any of the changes I made. How can I get the changes saved?

Hi again. It looks like your beacon is using their custom service to configure the data. Please then contact the beacon manufacturer or check the manual. I dound this website: www.beaconzone.co.uk/minewtechnical where they recommend their apps for configuration. Did you try it?

What do you mean by password? Could you post screenshots of nrf connect of when connected to your device in your initial question?

Minew uses a standard password of "minew123". I had them configure it for Eddystone.

Hi, what password are you taking about? Has the beacon the Eddystone Configuration Service? If yes, the procedure would be like that:

Connect
Read Lock State characteristic. If Unlocked, go to 5.
If Locked, read Unlock characteristic to get 16-byte challenge,
Write Unlock char by providing a 16-byte Unlock Code
Write slot number to Active Slot char. You may read it to check what slot is set. Usually it will be slot 0.
Write ADV Slot Data as you want.
Disconnect.

If it's a different service, please use steps given by its manufacturer, or their app.
