&lt;p&gt;I have changed the configuration settings in nrf regarding Clock Polarity and Phase. Now the data out from nrf to msp is receiving properly. But for receiving the data from msp430, it is difficult to get the data. &lt;p&gt;Looks like you are running into erratum USCI40 on the TI chip. &lt;a href="https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/423468"&gt;Here&lt;/a&gt; is a post where a user had a very similar problem with the MSP430.
