Is the device recongized by the computer when you connect it? Have you tried with another computer/USB cable?

I am having the same issue. However, when I put the device into bootloader mode I do not see the BOOTLOAD mass storage device. Any recommendations?

This could happen if the board is put into bootloader mode by mistake, and a non-supported firmware is drag-and-dropped to the board. I'm not aware of any other ways the firmware can stop working like this.

Could you try to put the device into bootloader mode by holding the IF BOOT\RESET button while powering the board? If you see a mass storage device named BOOTLOADER, try to reflash the JLink OB IF firmware found here.

yes I am using the nrf52 DK (PCA10040), nad its not showing up as a JLink mass storage. It does power the device and run the ble application that I downloaded to the device though.

Is this a nRF52 DK (PCA10040) you are using? Is the device showing up as a JLINK mass storage device when you connect it, or is it not recognized at all?
