Yes, your proposed header connections should be enough to program the nRF52.</p> <p>We generally recommend using <a href="https://www.segger.com/jlink-debug-probes.html">Segger J-Link programmers</a>. If you are looking for production programming, see this <a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/question/114769/trying-to-locate-an-ic-programmer-mfr/?answer=114855#post-id-114855">answer</a>.</p> <p>If you have nRF5x-DK, you can use the SEGGER J-Link OB that is on the DK to program your custom boards.
