Many of the HCI dongles should support up to 8 connections at the time, including the ones from Broadcom.</p> <p>Using a Nordic device in the gateway is more challenging. For one we don&#39;t have HCI support, nor do we support the &#39;connected oriented channel&#39; feature in any of our serialization API&#39;s, and this feature is required by the IoT SDK. In other words there are many missing pieces if you want to do IP communication end to end and use a Nordic device in the gateway.</p> <p>Thread is also a possibility, but requires the nRF52840, which is still not in production.
