Can you explain how have you erased bootloader firmware? This bootloader firmware is in Interface MCU flash only right?

Hi Martin, Thanks for the info, I tried to flash the firmware from the blog (Whisperer Board) into the ATSAM3U of the NRF52 board. and It boots. Unfortunatly, it boots as a Whisperer board and not as an OB-Jlink or Segger probe. I still don't have the window opening when I plugg the board. so I can't upload regular firmware (from Nordic) to fix it. I think I'll have to buy another NRF52DK. or a real JTAG probe.

I just tried to plugg it on a blank windows (10) with segger driver and still seen as a bossa device.

The board enumerates in USB as sam-ba bootloader when blank. I'm able to reflash bin file like nRF5x-OB-JLink-IF with sam-ba tools (not with drag and drop interface). But once reflashed it's does'nt enumerate.

Oh so you can see some USB device on the host! Isn't it just wrong driver selection? Have you tried some "virgin" Windows machine with just SEGGER J-Link SW package installed?

Hi Rishi,

When I plug the board on a windows, it's seen as a Bossa Com Port. On a linux, it's shown as a AT91_Sam-BA_Bootloader (the Lowlevel bootloader from Atmel for their chip). I don't have the directory opening and the blinking led when I plugg the board with "IF BOOT/RESET" pushed unlike Gaute Gamnes's procedure.

I think I erased the code responsible of that... and i can't find it.

I had this issue a while ago. As I recall, segger.html file did not exist anymore. So following the Gaute's procedure, you need to drag and drop the segger.html file. Download from www.segger.com/.../jlink

If you erase auxiliary Atmel chip completely there won't be any USB device visible, that looks logical to me. I would be also worried that neither SEGGER nor Nordic release FW image including bootloader but I might be wrong.

Hey JC, From what I have understood, I think you are unable to program the device. I would recommend performing following procedure:

Check if the device is listed in Device Manager. If yes, does it have an exclamatory symbol?
When you plug your device into the system, does a directory open which includes SEGGER.html, MBED.html, USER GUIDE.html and README.txt. Also, if the directory does not open on its own, check if a new drive has appeared in your system.
