&lt;p&gt;my suggestion would be to use the ble_app_uart example as a starting point since it has an accompanying mobile app in our nRF Toolbox (for both Android and iOS). You can read more about the mobile app &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/Products/Nordic-mobile-Apps/nRF-Toolbox-App"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; and you will find the source code on our GitHub page(links on the nRF Toolbox page).&lt;/p&gt;
