could you please help me. i have same problem as described above.

i do not understand in which file i can change so that ble_app_uart_c example scan beacon advertising packets.

In the scanner, check the advertising report event: BLE_GAP_EVT_ADV_REPORT -> on_adv_report() -> ble_advdat_uuid_find()

Hello, I also have a similar problem where I tried to remove the if (is_uuid_present(&m_nus_uuid, p_adv_report)) in on_ble_evt() --> BLE_GAP_EVT_ADV_REPORT but it still not getting any data. Please suggest a solution

ble_app_uart_c looks for devices with proprietary NUS (Nordic Uart Service) UUID. When ble_app_uart_c is scanning, it will pick up/see all advertisers, but if the received advertising signal doesn't have the NUS UUID, it will not connect. This is of course possible to change in the code: main.c --> on_ble_evt() --> BLE_GAP_EVT_ADV_REPORT.

Thanks , I have been looking into that but it doesn't seem to pick up any Bluetooth devices at all !! it just prints that Uart_c Scan started .

Also can you kindly guide me to some important functions that I can look at for my application especially that my application won't want to connect or any display registered UUID's which I think most of the central examples do

Unfortunately, there is not beacon scanner example in the SDK. However, in the "central" folder there are several examples that do scanning. Perhaps the example ble_app_uart_c can be a good starting point?
