SDK v12.2.0
board DK PCA10040
I am using instance 1. Instance 0 is not used.

It was a problem on my HW side.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is however something else that looks strange&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Even though the config is supposed to apply a pull-up on CS, it does not.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;.csn_pullup   = NRF_DRV_SPIS_DEFAULT_CSN_PULLUP seems to have no effect.&lt;/p&gt;
