Or will it be delivered in 2017 ?
Or is there any implementation of A2DP for nRF52840 elsewhere ?

Bluetooth SIG have not released any standards specifying audio over BTLE yet.

Audio over BTLE will not be compatible with Blutooth Classic devices, this use different packets and profiles not supported in BTLE.

Please have a look at this and this answer. We do have some audio capabilities in the Smart Remote 3 reference design. Some more details can be found in this thread.

RE: A2DP with nRF52840

Hi Jorgen, what audio streaming support then does this article refer to: https://goo.gl/rmhP62

We are building a low-power audio device and keen to use Nordic IC, but one critical feature is being able to receive and play audio from a mid-range smartphone. Is there some proprietary stuff RFsen are doing and is it backward compatible with older BT versions / profile like A2DP ?

All posts on forum seem to say NO. But this article gives some ray of hope... ?

If you need both Bluetooth Low Energy + Bluetooth Classic, I suggest you have a look at MediaTek which has some components with both so that it can also support A2DP

RE: A2DP with nRF52840

No, Bluetooth Low Energy is completely different from Bluetooth Classic, and you will not be able to implement A2DP profile.
Can we integrate A2DP to nRF52840 to transmit music?
Because A2DP is not big, and comlicated, the resouces of nrf52840 is enough.

Thanks

A2DP is a Bluetooth Classic profile. nRF52840 (and all other Nordic devices) only support Bluetooth Low Energy, so A2DP is not supported.
