Ok, thats good. I'm using Notepad++ to open the log files and its also Notepad++ that is opened when I click the Open Log File button. So you could try to install that and see if that helps. Could be that nRF Connect uses the default text editor or something.

I see what the problem was - the AppData folder is hidden, so I did not see it there. Now I found the logs under C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\nrfconnect\pc-nrfconnect-ble\logs\ and deleted them.

Still when I open the nRF Connect and connect to the nRF device, the Open Log File button does not show the log.

I do get the output in the bottom console in nRF Connect, however when I press the Open Log File button, nothing happens. I tried to uninstall and install nRF Connect but got the same result - no log file gets opened.

When you click the Open Log File button, do you get any output in the console in nRF Connect, as in the screenshot below? Also have you tried uninstalling nRF Connect and then reinstalling it?

There is no C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\

There is Roaming folder, but no nrfconnect folder there and no logs.

Could you try to delete all logs in teh C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\nrfconnect\pc-nrfconnect-ble\logs?

Ok, so with Packet receipt notification enabled and the number of packets set to 10 (default value) you're able to perform DFU with nRF Toolbox v2.4.0 using the bootloader from the Github repo?

Ok.. I reduced the packet size to 10 that was the default settings in the previous application. Now it works fine.

Ok, its a bootloader that is not a part of the SDK and it has not been maintained for 2 years so I recommend that you move to the bootloader in SDK v7.x.x. You can convert the dual bank bootloader to a single bank bootloader as instructed here. However, if you do not want to change or cannot change the SDK, then you can try to adjust the DFU settings in the nRF Toolbox app. Is Packet receipt notification procedure enabled? If not try to enable it and increase the Number of packets .
