I'm looking at adding IPv6 connectivity to my nRF52-equipped product. When I last looked a year ago, things seemed to be moving along very quickly. However, looking again at how to get started, I only see this SDK:

We are trying to keep the API similar, but as you might imagine, we've done a lot of improvements and refactoring of the code since December 2015. If you contact your local Nordic Regional Sales Manager, then he might be able to give you a rough estimate of when the release is going to be scheduled. Send me a PM with your location and I'll give you his contact info.

RE: nRF52 IPv6 SDK/examples

Thanks! So what's the advice for now? Are the APIs likely to stay reasonably similar if I target the current IoT SDK?

RE: nRF52 IPv6 SDK/examples

Hi Gordon,

I am afraid that we cannot comment the release schedule for the IoT SDK. However, what I can say is that the IoT SDK is not dead and there will be a production release in the future.

The reason for the long release cycle is due to the fact that the IoT SDK depends on L2CAP Connection Oriented Channels, which is not supported by any of our production-ready SoftDevices yet (currently it is only the S1xx Prototype Device that supports Connection Oriented Channels). This feature will be added in future releases of our current SoftDevices, but as mentioned above I can unfortunately not give you any date for the release.

Best regards
