I am using nrf52832 with PCA10036 V1.1.0. Soft device code is s132. I would like to know whether it will support Bluetooth 5.
I have downloaded nrf52 sdk13.0.0.04 version, in that PCA10036 folder was not included.
So How can I check whether

RE: To know nrf52832 will support bluetooth 5.

Hi Murali,

The PCA10036 is a nRF52 Preview DK, which is not recommended for new designs. From the development HW compatibility matrix, you can see that the board contains Engineering A IC revision. The SDK and softdevice compatibility matrix shows that Engineering A ICs only support softdevice S132 v1.0.0-3.alpha. To support Bluetooth 5 features, you need Engineering C or Revision 1 IC, which will support S132 v5.0.0-1.alpha softdevice.

I would recommend that you upgrade your development kit to a PCA10040 (nRF52 DK), or even better; the new PCA10056 (nRF52840 Preview Development kit) to get access to all Bluetooth 5 features. You can read more about Bluetooth 5 and the support on our ICs on this page.

Best regards,
