another question .
Now, having tried some different phones I suspect that my Sony E6553 with Android 7.0 has a bug that automatically connects to my board.
Now, I have tested the following: ble_app_hrs on both SDK v12 and v13: Works. The phone disconnects when the disconnect button is pressed. I have also tested the UART example with SDK v13, and it works too!

This seems to have something to do with my phone. Since the last test I know I have put my phone into flight mode, and I have also turned off the location service. Maybe that caused some kind of reset in the phone.

RE: nRF UART v2.0 will not disconnect on Android 7.0

I guess it has something to do with the phone. I also received another report about the same phone:
devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../

It has an issue with 4.2 features.

RE: nRF UART v2.0 will not disconnect on Android 7.0

Hello,

The above was tested with SDK v13.

I have tested as you suggested with SDK v12 and examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_hrs, using the nRF Connect app. The same thing is happening: Shortly after pressing the disconnect button, it will connect itself again.

Edit:

Ok, the SDK v12 version was not working when I tested it on May 5. Today I tested it again and it suddenly works: The phone is now disconnecting like it should. I will try this on SDK v13

RE: nRF UART v2.0 will not disconnect on Android 7.0

Hi gnf,

Which SDK have you tested ? Could you try to test with SDK v12 ?

Please also try with other profile, such as the HRM profile (ble_app_hrm example). You can use nRF Connect to test instead of using nRFUART app.
