Actually this may be the thunderbolt docking rather than the screen config as studio crashes when no screen is connected to the docking. This tb docking is highly unstable overall by itself but it never crashed nrfgo studio that way before today.

Can you check if this is only when screen is extended (like normal) or on all configuration of a twin screen?

Found out that no crash when I remove secondary display...this was the difference between office and home office, I use a different docking station and display interface.... QT is probably the faulty module.

got same issue right now. I experienced a lot of NRF studio freeze in the past, last one earlier today taht I solved thanks to the Jlink install path registry key. Then I moved back to home office and now nrfGo studio crash upon startup, does not even freeze. no log in the path. uninstalled and reinstalled all I could. I have been working with this in a mixed segger embedded studio environment for one year and this occurs too often for so different reasons. One day it even cured itself during the night, doing nothing.

Please provide something clean.

I have not seen this error for nRFgo Studio before, and have tested the application on Windows 10 x64 to check that it works. You can try a registery clean, as this seems to be a typical reason for this error. Otherwise, if you are only using nRFgo Studio for flashing, you can try out nrfjprog as I suggested above.

I have uninstalled a number of times including uninstalling the J_** set of software. I do have it working on my MS surface, but the development machine is where I really want the SW to work. This includes deleting all the directories. I did not go into the registry to try to detangle this though.

The log file did not contain much usefull information. Did nRFgo Studio work on the same computer previously? Could you try uninstalling nRFgo studio and nRF5 command line tools and also delete all related directories in program files and install once again? Do you have another computer you can try the application on? You can also using nrfjprog directly, as described in the documentation.

Are you installing the 64-bit version of nRFgo Studio? Could you check if the nRFgo Studio log file is available in this location %LOCALAPPDATA%\Nordic Semiconductor\nRFgo Studio\log.txt, and upload it here? (edit your question to upload files)
