&lt;p&gt;You can find the &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.softdevices52/dita/softdevices/s130/s130api.html?cp=2_3_0_1"&gt;softdevice API documentation&lt;/a&gt; in the infocenter. The required header files are available in the softdevice download. It is not a problem using the softdevice without the SDK, but it might be a bit more time consuming to get it working. Also, see &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/question/48401/using-softdevice-directly-without-sdk-libraries/?answer=48403#post-id-48403"&gt;this post&lt;/a&gt; which provide some more information.&lt;/p&gt;
