You can always watch a video or the slides of a seminar, but as Wojtek said:

You can speak with engineers (who work on chip development or softdevice development) and get some info which normally is not available in documentation :)

This is one of the most valuable parts! (Of course it's still awesome that Nordic Semi engineers make themselves so available on this Q&A forum.)

But for you in university, more importantly, think about the other attendees you'd also meet. Face-to-face, friendships, contacts, connections, etc. matter so much if you're interested in working at a company in this field after you complete university (or even if you're unsure). It also sends a strong signal that you're wanting to learn more than the just the university course itself.

I know from your other comment you've already registered, which is great, but think about these things. Talk to everyone you see, ask them questions about what they do, what they like about it, the challenges, etc. Tell them about your study and what you want to do. And if there are any after-events (even just a few people continuing on to a pub to chat), always go to the after-events even if you're feeling tired. :)

Thanks for the answers. Sadly the event in Eindhoven is fully booked now. I guess I waited too long, as I could still register an hour ago.

I could add an answer here, but I feel Wojtek covers it. It is mostly technical presentations given by engineers, for engineers. If you have some knowledge of BLE and our products you should get a lot out of it. Hope to see you there :)

Last time (when they launched nRF52832) the seminar was quite interesting. I already developed on nRF51, so i knew something about BLE, SDK and chip. However, they showed new things like improved PPIs, new SAADC, DMAs, NFC and all new features. It was quite interesting - they showed the mechanisms, code snippets and whole working examples. I think it is worth to attend if you want to work with nRF52 chips. I think the event is more for the tech people, not the business mans (but they would enjoy it a bit too i think). You can speak with engineers (who work on chip development or softdevice development) and get some info which normally is not available in documentation :)
