My product has the advertising flow as below

The device advertises forever with advdata updated during run-time by using ble_advertising_init()

In addition, you can use logging over UART for debugging when advertising is started/stopped.

RE: The right flow to change the advertising data during run-time

Thanks for your suggestion, but it happens rarely so it's difficult to debug. Do you have any suggestion for workaround or how to check the advertising or not in SD?

RE: The right flow to change the advertising data during run-time

I would recommend you to double check the flow, check when advertising is started.

To find out which order incoming BLE events are handled see
ble_evt_dispatch()
in main.c.

RE: The right flow to change the advertising data during run-time

It's no problem.
