&lt;p&gt;The Active signal of the nRF8001, and its polarity, is set in the hardware configuration of the Setup commands. When using nRFgo Studio you find it under the tab &amp;quot;Hardware Settings&amp;quot;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, do note that the maximum output current from the pins of the nRF8001 should not exceed 0.5 mA, see page 34 of the &lt;a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRF8001_PS_v1.3.pdf"&gt;product specification&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
