Yes you can use the nRF52 to program & debug both nRF51 and nRF52. Same with nRF51DK.

Hi, Yes, the PATH to the makefile is the problem. I think I will be able to fix this problem. However for the debugging part as you mentioned, would the nRF52DK be compatible with the nRF51822? There is nRF51DK available as well, but I am not sure of the limitations I would face if I buy.

Would this Waveshare NRF51822 Bluetooth V4.0 Development Board Set be used as an alternative board?

RedBearLab board is not PCA...., because it is not from Nordic but from RedBearLab. I would not expect support for every existing board from the Nordics. However, you can always create your own board file quite easily and just use it with the SDK.

Could you take a screenshot ?

Most likely you need to configure the PATH to make tool ? For example if you use GNUWin this path should be added to the System Variables Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32\bin

You can buy one of our Development Kit ($39) e.g nRF52DK to debug your custom board. There is a output debug port on the kit.
