Hi. I downloaded the updated makefiles that Jørgen posted further down this thread.

The going into bootloader problem was not a problem, but me not understanding how the bootloader works: When present, the bootloader needs to have a,package delivered via dfu or it will assume that no valid app is present. Once you flash the bootloader on, you can no longer just flash the app area and have thingy boot it (unless you do fancy stuff like write to the bootloader settings in flash directly).

I have the same issue right now when working with my own bootloader, did you get this fixed?

Yes I'm using gcc and the new makefile + linker settings did the trick.

I had to change the size of the app to 0x56000 to make it fit along with the bootloader, but that doesn't seem to have caused any problems.

Hi,

I updated the Makefiles for the bootloader_secure project. I have not tested it on the device, but it compiles and use the same settings as the Keil project.

Note that you have to build the micro-ecc library for GCC by running make in thingy_sdk_v1.1.0\external\sdk\external\micro-ecc\nrf52_armgcc\armgcc, and provide your own dfu_public_key.c file.

Are you using GCC to compile the project? It seems there are some errors in the Makefile. Have you tried the Keil project?
