&lt;p&gt;Range is very hard to predict, since it will change a lot depending on the environment, hardware design, and radio configuration.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Line of sight range is typically several hundred meters, while in door range is much smaller (20-30m typically).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How many devices you can have in a mesh network depends mostly on the mesh protocol used. Technically speaking it is possible to have hundreds of nodes within close proximity, and a total network size of several thousand nodes.&lt;/p&gt;
