Please unzip the folder attached in the post you linked to.(Packages.zip), and make sure that you point to that folder under "Preferences -> C/C++ -> Packages -> Packages folder".

You should see "Extracting devices & boards.." in the Eclipse Console. If anything goes wrong, the Console should print the error message.

Those 3 packages are already installed. nRF5x Command Line Tools has been updated to the most recent version, 9.6.0. Stuck at Properties / Settings / Devices tab - message "No devices available, install packs first".
fyi I'd add a couple of screen captures. Don't see an option to upload. Copy and paste don't work.

According to the tutorial, you should install the following packages:

GNU ARM C/C++ Cross Compiler
GNU ARM C/C++ Packs
GNU ARM C/C++ J-link Debugging

Please make sure that you have installed them.

I also recommend installing the nRF5x Command Line Tools. Find the installer for your OS in the list here, under "PC software".

Cheers. That looks like the problemo. In the above screen under Devices tab it says "No devices available, install packs first". Trying to install this eclipse says plugin GNU ARM Eclipse 3.4.1 is installed. The installed plugins list includes "GNU ARM C/C++ Packs (Experimental)". What do I need to install?

Using nRF5 SDK v12.1.0. Yes, restarted eclipse after the changes - in eclipse menu, File / Restart. What does that tell you? Can you explain what this error means?

What SDK version are you using? Did you try to restart Eclipse after you applied the changes?
