I am sorry but the link is not available anymore. Attached is a modified version of the example made by Vidar in the link you are after. It should support buttonless dfu, but note that it has not been thoroughly tested and is getting pretty old. devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF5_5F00_SDK_5F00_11.0.0_5F00_freertos_5F00_dfu_5F00_060516.zip

I suggest you use it as a guide to see how you can implement this in a newer example.
