I would recommend going through the <a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/tutorials/">tutorials found here on DevZone</a>, to get familiar with BLE and other peripherals of the nRF5x chips.</p> <p>I recommend using the latest softdevice and SDK version supported for your device. You can find which version that is in <a href="http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.nrf51/dita/nrf51/compatibility_matrix/nRF51422_nRF51822_ic_rev_sdk_sd_comp_matrix.html?cp=3_0_4">this compatibility matrix</a>.
