Please try to test with our ble_app_uart or our ble_app_blinky in our SDK and the counterpart nRF UART app and nRF Blinky app on Android. In those example we use write request/command to send data.

Hello Sigurd, I am using a smartphone(Central) communicating with my BLE (Peripheral) the communication is unidirectional. The indication you see on the screenshot are the values sent from my smartphone to my BLE Device to light on and off the LED. This is the reason why I don't understand because normally the central should only sent write request/command. Do you know how to d/modify it programmatically so that the central wirte request sends?

Hi,

Write request/commands are sent from central(client) to the peripheral(server).
Notification and indication are sent from peripheral(server) to central(client).

--> Your central device is using write request, and not write command.

Hello Sigurd, thanks for your comment. The fact is I am able to light on the LED of my BLE device with the smartphone and I am wondering why I don't see that write command (light the LED). On Wireshark it appears like notification (see the screenshot). Why isn't it a write command ? How to do a write command

To light the LED I have to send the letter "o" on my Android App. It is a write?

Yes, the Bluefruit uses the Nordic nRF51822.

Well, the explanation to your issue is pretty simple. You are not doing write command, only write request. If you switch to write command you will increase the throughput significantly. Take a look at this infocenter page for comparison between write request/command.

the sniffer I am using is Bluefruit LE nRF51822. I think nRF51822 is a nordic family.

This is a forum for issues related to Nordic Semiconductor products. Since your issue does not involve a Nordic IC you'll have to contact the manufacturer for your device regarding this issue.

When you in the future decide to start developing with Nordic Semiconductor products, I would recommend taking a look at the nRF52832 development kit.
