&lt;p&gt;Pairing is encrypting the connection, pairing doesn&amp;#39;t mean connecting.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please try to test with nRF5 SDK examples to get familiar with BLE. We have ble_app_uart which does what you want.&lt;/p&gt;
