I see.. if I am using nrf_drv_spi_transfer, the buffer size set here is equivalent to the actual buffer size for tx/rx. Thanks for helping.

Using that SPI sample code, I am able to set the mode as SPIM DMA. But I would like to know how I can configure this DMA mode. For example, what should I do if I want to set the max buffer size for transfer/receiver before the data is read/write by the MCU.

All SPI Master examples should by default use SPIM HW peripheral block with DMA... see sdk_config.h file in the example you are using.
