Oh you think that Sniffer will keep track of connections even it doesn't see any packet for minutes or hours? No, not even devices from 10-30k USD don't do this. You would need some full spectrum (all 37 channels) analyzer because connection clock drifts and after few minutes the actual link and sniffer go out of sync anyway (that's my expectation)...

no, as the connection between smarthphone and fitness tracker remains, only the sniffer is out of range -> so no new advertisment will be sent

only the sniffer cannot follow the connection because the devices are out of reach

Hi Josh,

If the connection really "breaks" down then sniffer stops following data channels according to agreed hopping sequence and comes back to advertising channels. If there is another connection established on the same Adv. address it should follow it again. Any problem with this scheme? Or you call "until the connection breaks down" some special event? in general Nordic sniffer is tool on pretty cheap HW coming "for free" so these are its basic limits (follow one advertiser and all CONNECT_REQ packets to it until it sees them...)
