The radio peripheral will request different other resources (like the HFCLK) when it is used, therefore the total current consumption is higher.</p> <p>I would recommend taking a look at the <a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/power/">online power profiler</a> for estimating the current consumption for a bluetooth application on nRF52832. The values used here are based on measurements (and are actually lower than the ones in the specification).
