What is the actual difference in hardware between the two chips? I know they support different soft devices but is there any actual difference in the hardware? Or is it a certification thing?
If I had the time and patience, would it be possible

RE: What is the difference between nRF51822 and nRF51422?

Although nRF51822 cannot support ANT, is it possible to get it to support proprietary wlreless standards?

RE: What is the difference between nRF51822 and nRF51422?

Could you clarify what those missing features are exactly? the nRF51822 and nRF51422 share the same HW architecture. ANT is a 3rd party protocol stack. Due to this there are some built-in features on the nRF51422 for using an ANT stack. These features are not present on the nRF51822 and thus any stack that contains ANT will not run on the nRF51822

cheers,
John
