&lt;p&gt;Please check the ranges you have set and how they are triggered by events. If for example you have an event set to appear when you walk into coverage you have to be outside the coverage for the app to register that it is back in.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I.e. the app on the phone is expecting the beacon to go out of range before it recognizes it as back into range. I’m not sure on how you have tested this and you may already have tried this, but you must make sure that the phone and beacon is out of range to each other and then get back into range for the “In range” setting to work.
You should see some of the same behavior on the “Near” setting too. It needs to go out of “Near” for it to trigger the alarm once it gets back into “Near”.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you still are having problems, you should check the settings on the phone. E.g. for iPhone, make sure that the the app &amp;quot;nRF Beacons&amp;quot; has the permission to use location services as iBeacon is part of location services in iOS.
Settings -&amp;gt; Privacy -&amp;gt; Location Services&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Make sure location services are on&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maker sure &amp;quot;nRF Beacons&amp;quot; is allowed to use location services.&lt;/li&gt;
