Not new to embedded development however.
So far I can't get the simplest possible program to run.
I've got two nRF51822-mKIT developer boards and I'm trying to run the "mbed_blinky

RE: Running the "blinky" demo program on nRF51822-mKIT with mbed

UPDATE: After searching around the Nordic forms and not finding a related article, I looked on mbed's forums and found this:
Target program does not download to nRF51822 mKit in Windows 8.1

It's not really a Windows 8.1 problem, it's an IE and Chrome compatibility issue. They both download files by steaming the bits into a temporary file then renaming it to the final file name when done which apparently is not understood by the developer board even though the developer board still flashes the activity light and reboots to confirm the new code.

Solution: Use Firefox.
