The SDK you have downloaded assumes that an external oscillating crystal is used. This could be the reason why you cannot detect the MS49SF2 on your Android phone. If you really want to use the MS49SF2, you need to use the internal 32 kHz RC oscillator. See (this link) for benefits of having an external oscillator. I then opened up nRF Go Studio, under Device Manager selected the "Segger 681663540" board and Browsed for the S130 softdevice. The S130 is located under in this folder: "nRF5_SDK_xx.0.0/components/softdevice/s130/hex/". Then you press the program button in nRFgoStudio, open up the hrs example code using keil for example and then compile and download the source code to Nordic SoC. Once the LED1 starts blinking, I opened up the nRF Connect app on both Android and on an iPhone, pressed Scan and found the nRF51 device quite quickly. Hope that helps!

RE: No advertisement in nrf51822 usinf s130 softdevice

What kind of phone are you using?
