No, Vol 2 of the Core Spec is only applicable to the BR/EDR Controllers, i.e. Bluetooth Classic Controllers and not Bluetooth Low Energy, which is covered in Vol 6. You will not find any reference to EPC in the Bluetooth Low Energy sections of the specification.

Thank you Bjorn. However, page 300 of Bluetooth Core Specification Version 5.0 says that the enhanced power control has been introduced since v3.0. Moreover, in BLUETOOTH SPECIFICATION Version 5.0 | Vol 2, Part C, Section 4.1.3 specifies the legacy and enhanced power controls for V5.0. Now, I am looking for a solution to disable this feature or at least let the receiver side know about the transmit power.

As far as I know the Enhanced Power Control feature is only used by Bluetooth Classic devices, i.e. v3.0, see the Bluetooth Core Specification Version 5.0 | Vol 1, Part D page 300).

Thus, this is not a part of the Bluetooth Low Energy specification and should not be an issue with the nRF51 DK and our SoftDevices.
