Frequency hopping used for advertising bluetooth beacons uses which 3 frequencies? Is it possible to choose those frequencies using the software code?

How does the central (example nrf connect app) know which frequencies

RE: Which frequencies are used in beaconing

Adding figure to show what RK is explaining.

RE: Which frequencies are used in beaconing

and you've been on the forums since 2015 so I don't think you can claim to be a beginner any more.

RE: Which frequencies are used in beaconing

A beacon is just a standard BLE device which just advertises. So it uses the standard BLE advertising channels.

The listening device just listens on the standard advertising channels it uses for all Bluetooth devices.

This is all 100% standard Bluetooth.

You can if you wish tell your beacon to use only a subset of the normal advertising channels, 1,2 or all 3 with normal soft device calls. But it will always advertise on some subset of the fixed advertising channels. (There are enhancements in the latest spec for putting advertising data on other channels but that's not really relevant here)
