I have some questions about nrf51822.
Is j-link required in nrf51822?
I do not know what a j-link is, what role it plays here.
Best regards.

RE: questions about nrf51822

Thank you for your answer :D

RE: questions about nrf51822

Hi,

J-Link is a series of debug probes made by SEGGER. You can use it to program or debug the nRF51 and nRF52 series.

On our nRF51 and nRF52 series development kits, there are on-board J-Link debugging IC. You are not required to use J-Link debuggers for programming our chip, any SWD compatible programmer should work. However, we recommend using SEGGER J-Links, and this is the only debug probes offisically supported by Nordic and our tools.

Best regards,
