so it seems that the linker script provided with the beacon example wouldn't work. i attached an example project where the communication is created with BDS; the pca20006 can be used as peripheral (also works on the pca10056)prj_tst_bds.zip

yes, you're right. sorry for the confusion - ever since the release of the nRF52840 Preview DK i somehow regard the nRF52 DK as "obsolete" and thus always refer to the Preview DK as "the" DK .. ;) hope to be able to post the code within this week.

Great that you got it working.

But you are confusing me a bit. PCA10028 is the nRF51 DK. And PCA10056 is the nRF52840 Preview DK, not the nRF52 DK.

thing is i don't have the nRF51 DK, only the nRF52 preview DK (pca10056). i used the pca10028 since it's the closest i could find to the pca20006. i ended up bashing through examples and somehow managed to get the example running on the smart beacon kit. it might be the linker files that don't exactly match the beacon example, something in the sdk_config.h or something similar. i will update this post with working code. it'd be great to have more examples for the pca20006 since it's a nice device to use also for other applications.

Does it work on the PCA10028? Why can't you debug? Are you even getting to main? How far do you get?
