&lt;p&gt;is the &amp;quot;open collector&amp;quot; high drive, that means the pin can switch from high current capable zero (0) to high impedance (D ==  disconnect).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You probably wanted to use&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;pre&gt;&lt;code&gt;GPIO_PIN_CNF_DRIVE_H0H1
&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;
