I think I found a way to solve this issue. I don't really understand, but it works. I comments out the code like the image. Everything works like expected.

Yes, I tried apps (nRF Connect, nRF UARTv2.0, nRF Toolbox) the same thing.

I'm working to find a solution to your problem. I just want to make sure there are no misunderstandings. When you connect to your board to the terminal program, and then connect your phone to the board, then the BLE connection is stable. If not, the phone will disconnect after ~25 sek? You could also try connecting using the nRF Toolbox app and check if that helps.

I tried ALE-L21 Huawei Android 5.01 and Sony E2333 Android 5.0

I try many times exactly as you said. Led1 blink to indicate the advertisment. When I connect, I see the LED1 is on. and wait for 25 secondes. Led1 restarts blinking to indicate advertising again(disconnect). But When I use terminal Tera, everything works perfectly.

Have you done any modifications at all to the code? Can you not get it to work as the example is, straight out of the SDK? Try flashing the precompiled hex-file in the folder: <SDK_Installfolder>\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart\hex\ble_app_uart_pca10040_s132.hex. I'm afraid I don't have any issues using the example and nRF Connect.

Thank you for your answer. I just don't understand this case. If I use nRF52 DK kit with SDK 14.0 UART service with your official app nRF Connect. it doesn't work well. I can't get disconnected or connect properly. Could you please try it, do you get the same result? it's not only about current consumption, it's about connection and disconnection. :)

Wouldn't it be easier if you just start advertising, like it's done in this tutorial. And then you measure the current consumption when advertising? There's also tutorials for creating your own service and characteristics.

I use ble_app_uart example and SDK nRF5 14.0. I still got some problem. sometimes it can't disconnect well some times it disconnect automatically. but, I found a special thing, If I open my Tera terminal and connect to my kit. everything works perfectly. It works, as soon as I use Tera terminal to connect kit for debug. otherwise, it just doesn't work even with official nRF Connect app.

Hi finalfantacypro! Sorry for the delayed response. Are you working with the ble_app_uart example? And what SDK are you working with? If you are working with the ble_app_uart example, try commenting out/removing the printf("\r\nUART Start!\r\n"); in main() and see if it will start advertising again.
