&lt;p&gt;If you&amp;#39;re using modules that has a PA, then placing them close to each other may damage the device, as the input power could exceed the 0 dBm max input.
The recommendation is then to detach the antenna (if external antenna is used) or reduce the output power of both RX and TX to -18 dBm.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If you check the power consumption of your devices and compare this to the numbers in the datasheet, you should be able to see if some pins are damaged. Set the device into one of the standby-modes and compare.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;You can check the pin &amp;quot;VDD_PA&amp;quot; to see if the transmitter is sending any data. It will be active when a transmission goes over-the-air.&lt;/li&gt;
