Has anyone added an external power amplifier to the nRF51822? From what I recall the BLE spec allows for 10mW output power (well, 10mW would be the maximum for global acceptance -- there are some country related exceptions that would allow

RE: Adding a PA to the nRF51822?

Hi all
I need to increase rf power.
What about a skywork Amplifier ? if there is any amplifier circuit please tell me about it and inform me about the pin connection . thank you

RE: Adding a PA to the nRF51822?

Hi Karim,

Haven't gotten too far with this yet. One of the challenges is that traditional Bluetooth LNAs/PAs are not duty cycle optimized for BLE and waste too much energy.

I think you're also finding the same and want to control the PA when the radio is in use via GPIO?

Cheers,

I also need to do this and to be successful we will need the external PA control signals to be routed to i/o pins on the device. Have you found a way to route these signals to the pins yet?
Thanks
