&lt;p&gt;There is no fast clock running all the time when the timeslot API is used. The timing is based on the LF clock source specified when the SoftDevice is enabled, and compensated with a fast clock to get to microsecond accuracy. Note the specified jitter NRF_RADIO_START_JITTER_US, though. See the API documentation for this as it may change between versions, as the internal implementation may change.&lt;/p&gt;
