I want to send data, like some number, via BLE from smartphone to nRF52. I have to use an external module for this project, because my application uses also bluetooth mesh. It seems to be complicated to combine two bluetooth stacks.

It works. See this video.

The example should come soon.

RE: Which bluetooth module choose to connect smartphone with nRF52

Hi Hung,
I need to use the latest SDK. There is no example for gateway. Could you tell me when you are going to make this example? I am afraid that it is impossible to me to do it myself. I would like to combine light_control( Mesh SDK) and ble_app_uart( SDK 14.1) and I am afraid that using BLE and Mesh in the same time will be problematic. Is it possible to realize? Could you give me some advice how I can do it?

RE: Which bluetooth module choose to connect smartphone with nRF52

I don't really see the point why you need have external module. You can do both mesh and BLE at the same time. There is already an example here. We will soon make an example for latest SDK.

Adding a second board will make hardware more complex and increase the size of the device and power consumption.
