Your master example does not run at all on my setup. Have you tried debugging the application to see where it is stuck/what it is doing for the 3-4 minutes? Once the call to the softdevice function have happend, it will start advertising/scan within a very short time. The softdevice allways have the highest priority.

I did the same test and got the same result, board starts advertising immediately. But with my master code it doesn't. I don't think I changed the libraries, only sdk_config.h and the makefile.

I did a test with the BLE_ATT_MTU example from the SDK, and your slave code. I cannot reproduce the issue with advertising not starting again. To me, the board starts advertising again immediately after tester board disconnects. Have you made any other changes to the SDK libraries?

I edited the question with the projects. Its a bit messy, but I hope you will manage. Now it seems to work from the start, but after disconnection slave doesn't start to advertise, same problem.

Could you post some code showing how you included Thread, and how/where you call sd_ble_gap_adv/scan_start()? Uploading your entire project would be even better!
