I have set my softdevice s132v3 with SDK12.2 and nrf52832 to use connection event length extension and data length extende with connection parameters as shown below.I am using only one link central-to-peripherial, both Nordic nrf52 devices.

RE: Connection event length extension and out of range issue

I am having a similar issue, https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/83754/nus-data-notifications-results-in-a-fatal-error

When the unit gets to edge of useful range we do not know to stop trying to send NUS data packages and we get a fatal error.

If you lose enough packets in a row the connection supervision timeout will expire and the link will be disconnected. I'm not sure what this unknown state you are talking about is. Could you elaborate? Do you have a sniffer trace?

You want to disconnect after one connection interval? That doesn't really make sense.

You can detect poor link quality by sending monitoring the throughput, or you can monitor the RSSI. You can disconnect the link whenever you want by calling sd_ble_gap_disconnect().
