The reason of the issue with the stack pointer was because the J-Link couldn't match the correct nRF52 device. I have now installed the newest J-Link Software Version 6.20h.

But the generated hex file is still not working. Can you reproduce this?

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. Can you test with a freshly extracted copy of the SDK?

With the original precompiled hex files I'm able to send data from the first to the second device and reverse. I can also see the data in the packet sniffer. But if I upload the generated hex file to the device than I can not see any data on the sniffer and on the other device.

You are right, if I skip the message into the debugger, I'm able to run and debug the project but, I get the following Debug Log message: The stack pointer for stack 'CSTACK' (currently 0x20005AA8) is outside the stack range (0x20000408 to 0x20000C08)

I checked with the developers, the example should work without these files. You can skip the box requesting the file. You should also be able to debug the application, but not the 802.15.4 stack, as this is not available as source code. We will check if the stack library is compiled with debug flag set.

How is the generated hex not working? Is the precompiled hex found in the hex folder of the example directory working?

Selecting the 802_15_4_lib_iar.a does not help. It's not only debugging which is not working, also the generated hex file is not working. Pleas let me know, if you have an answer from the developers. Thanks...

I see the same thing. Does it work if you select 802_15_4_lib_iar.a as alternative file? I will check with the developers why this is happening.

Sorry for this missing information, I'm using the nRF5 SDK 14.1.0 and the example project is: 802_15_4\experimental\wireless_uart

Which SDK version are you using? Exactly which example are you trying?
