Are you testing this on the nRF52-DK (PCA10040 board)? Note that <a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.nrf52832.ps.v1.1/pin.html?cp=2_1_0_3#pin_assign">AIN3 are shared with GPIO P0.05</a>, which is <a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.nrf52/dita/nrf52/development/nrf52_dev_kit/vir_com_port.html?cp=2_1_4_4_1">used for UART connection on the development kit</a>.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
