&lt;p&gt;Are you able to provide a schematic of your custom hardware?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The problem is that the MBR is activated by running a soft reset, which means that even if we changed the MBR to set the pin it would still be undefined during the soft reset.
If you could have an external pull up to keep the pin high during reset then that might solve that particular issue, but then you might not be able to keep the pin low trying to disable the LDO (hard to say without knowing more about your hardware).&lt;/p&gt;
